CJ command description


Description: This command creates a new "Hyphenation & Justification" rule.


Syntax: [ CJ =  "RuleName"  ;  Hyphen  ;  WordUppercase  ;  WordMin  ;  CharBefore  ;  CharAfter  ;  MaxHyphen  ;  HyphenArea  ;  Widow  ;  SpaceMin  ;  SpaceOpt  ;  SpaceMax  ;  CharMin  ;  CharOpt  ;  CharMax  ;  ExtendArea    ]


"RuleName"

Name of the hyphenation rule.

Boolean
TRUE = enable hyphenation, FALSE = disable hyphenation.
     
WordUppercase
Boolean
TRUE = enable hyphenation on words in uppercase, FALSE = disable hyphenation on words in uppercase
     
WordMin
Integer
Minimum number of characters in a word.
     
CharBefore
Integer
Number of characters before hyphen.
     
CharAfter
Integer
Number of characters after hyphen.
     
MaxHyphen
Integer
Maximum number of consecutive hyphens.
     
HyphenArea
Points/Tenths
  Area (starting from right margin) in which hyphenation is allowed.
     
Widow
Boolean
  TRUE = enable hyphenation of a single word, FALSE = disable hyphenation of a single word.
     
SpaceMin
Percent
  Minimum space between words.
     
SpaceOpt
Percent
  Optimum space between words.
     
SpaceMax
Percent
  Maximum space between words.
     
CharMin
Percent
  Minimum space between characters.
     
CharOpt
Percent
  Optimum space between characters.
     
CharMax
Percent
  Maximum space between characters.
     
ExtendArea
Points/Tenths
  Area (starting from right margin) in which the last line may be extended. (ignored in InDesign version)
